In 2003, Geneva District 304 Superintendent Dr. Michael Jacoby walked into a conference room of Geneva administrators to announce a new professional development initiative. Little did he know that after becoming Executive Director of Illinois ASBO in 2006, his vision for supporting school leaders would become the signature leadership development program for Illinois ASBO. Even after Dr. Jacoby’s recent retirement, the Institute continues to thrive. This past March, the Institute, now in its fourteenth year, welcomed its 200th attendee in Bloomington.
