The challenges facing today’s learners have evolved substantially since many schools were built. While it has long been understood that the environment positively impacts learning, we now have a much deeper understanding of the science behind how children learn and the environmental factors that promote student achievement, connectedness and well-being. As today’s schools work to provide more opportunities and impactful learning experiences, the spaces within schools have evolved accordingly.
